Can Dogs Eat Whipped Cream?

food for dogs

Interested in getting a Puppuccino for your pooch? After all, it’s yummy, easy to get, and best of all, free.

But can dogs eat whipped cream, really? In this article, that’s what we’ll find out.

Can dogs eat whipped cream?

The short answer is yes, dogs can eat whipped cream – all kinds of it, in fact, whether it’s packaged, from a pressurized can, or even homemade.

No surprise there, perhaps, since Starbucks offers Puppuccinos after all. However, do keep in mind that not all dogs can have whipped cream.

For one, some dogs are lactose intolerant, which means their tummies can’t handle this dairy treat well. Some signs you should look out for include:

  • vomiting
  • diarrhea
  • stomach pain
  • bloating
  • gas

Additionally, there are also dogs that are allergic to whipped cream. If you’re feeding your dog whipped cream for the first time, make sure to keep a close eye on them for the next 30 minutes.

That said, if your dog is neither lactose-intolerant nor allergic, and if they enjoy the sweet taste of whipped cream, don’t be scared to give it as an occasional treat!
