3 Healthy Peanut Butter Dog Treat Recipes

These healthy dog treat recipes are so good, you may be tempted to have a nibble!

Too many store-bought dog treats are pumped with harmful preservatives, coloring, flavoring, sugar, and a host of other unfriendly ingredients you wouldn’t want your dog consuming.

With treats playing a pretty pivotal role in a dog’s development, especially when it comes to puppies and training, it’s important to make sure that the ingredients in them are only the best of the best. And what better way to do that than to make them yourself!

Below are 3 healthy dog treat recipes for your dog that contain one of a pooch’s most guiltiest pleasures… peanut butter!

(Note: Don’t use peanut butter with sweeteners or xylitol, as it’s been shown to be toxic for dogs)

Banana Butter Munchkin Dog Treats

1 organic banana

1 ½ cups of organic uncooked oats

½ cup of organic peanut butter

Preheat your oven to 350°. Using a blender, grind the oats down into a powder. Grab a bowl, and beat the banana and peanut butter together until smooth. Add the ground oats into the peanut butter and banana mixture, mixing until blended. Sprinkle flour onto a flat surface and roll the dough, making it ¼ inches thick. Using a cookie cutter, cut the dough into cute shapes of your choice and place them on a baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes.
